From probably kindergarten to fourth grade, I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch nearly every single day. I’m not exactly sure if those are the exact years, but I’ll holler at my mom and get back to you. If it wasn’t a PBJ it was a Nutella sandwich. Literally just Nutella + that fluffy Home Pride bread that was really just plain white bread masking as wheat. Good. Old. Days.
Anyways, my love for peanut butter and jelly hasn’t died yet, regardless of the fact that my body composition was probably straight up peanut butter back then. I guess some things never change.
This smoothie is just heaven. If I’m not making a green smoothie, this is my fruity smoothie of choice. I still hide some spinach in there, so shhhh don’t tell.
This is best topped with a crunchy granola, and more peanut butter of course! And I have to add – if you are peanut intolerant or simply don’t like them, almond butter (or sunbutter!) is amazing here as well.
