Everything Bagel Crusted Salmon with Lemon Quinoa

  • Salmon (fresh or frozen)
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lemon Juice
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • A great pairing: Tri-Color Quinoa


If cooking your salmon from frozen:

  1. First rinse under cold water to rid of any ice build up. Pat with towel to dry, and then brush with olive oil generously on both sides of fillet. Heat a large skillet with olive oil, place the fillet in, and let cook for about 2 minutes uncovered, and about 3 minutes covered until cooked through (this depends on how large your fillet is). Flip and cook for a couple minutes on the other side to ensure it is fully cooked. Generously season this side with everything bagel spice. Lastly flip your salmon, spice side down and cook on low for about 1-2 minutes.

If cooking fresh salmon:

  1. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Brush both sides of salmon with olive oil, and place in pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning (or in my case, pour) on top of the salmon, and flip to cook spice side down for another 4 minutes or so, until salmon is fully cooked.

For the quinoa:

  1. Boil 2 cups broth of choice (veggie or chicken - I find that broth yields a much flavorful quinoa than water, but you can of course still use water) with 1 cup quinoa and cook 10-15 minutes until quinoa fluffs and absorbs all liquid. Season with salt, pepper, squeeze of fresh lemon.
