  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • 1 16 oz package of frozen french cut green beans (or fresh)! I use frozen if I'm short on time, but use fresh if available!
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 whole dried red chilis you can omit this if you don't like it too spicy! Can be found at a supermarket or spice market
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne powder add more if you like it spicy!
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or grapeseed oil

  1. Heat skillet with 1 TBSP olive oil. When oil is hot, add whole dried red chilis and 4 cloves of garlic.

  2. When garlic has slightly browned, add sliced onions to the pan. Sauté until onions are translucent.

  3. Now add all of the spices - cayenne, turmeric, cumin, and salt. Sauté spices together with the onions for a couple of minutes until spices are infused.

  4. Add one whole bag of frozen green beans (I use a 16 oz bag), or fresh green beans. Cover and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring throughout. Dish will be done when green beans are tender.
